We are very excited to be an expanding school. We have worked with a team of architects to develop plans to offer exciting learning spaces across the school site in readiness for becoming a two form entry school.
As part of the project the school will benefit from a new purpose built Foundation Stage, a new library, two new key stage two classrooms, new outdoor spaces for all children, a new kitchen and refurbishment of the majority of the original school.
Work started over the 2015 summer holidays with the demolition of ECOS House and the refurbishment of several classrooms in the main school building.
During October 2015 ground works were started. This is a photograph of the concrete being poured to form the foundations.
The steel that forms the main structure has started to arrive on site.
On 23rd October Year 6 were excited to visit the site to sign one of the steel beams that will form part of the new structure.
The new building starts to take shape
We have created a time capsule that has been sealed in the wall to be opened in 50 years time.
Over the 2016 summer break major refurbishment work will be undertaken to the original school building with a full redevelopment of the playground.
