Children are required to read everyday at home, whether it be from a book / magazine / newspaper if entirely up to yourself and the child. It is preferred that children read with an adult and have their reading book changed at least once a week with their reading record signed.
Once the children have completed their reading record (and book reviews) the will be upgraded to a 'Reading Journal'. A reading journal has various activities for the children to complete about the books that they have read, once this journal is complete the pupil will be rewarded with a prize book.
3EH will visit the school library on Tuesdays
3DK will visit the school library on Mondays.
Children will be able to choose books to take home to read and change them the following week.
Spelling will be given on Monday. This will involve children researching words with similar spelling patterns. A test will be conducted on Friday. Ten basic words with the spelling pattern will be chosen.

Last Friday, Year 3 enjoyed an afternoon learning about road safety and learning some cool tricks on scooters.
The children practiced how to stop safely at the side of the road.
We learnt all about what equipment we need to keep safe when riding scooters and learned how to put it on securely and quickly by ourselves.
All of the children gained confidence in doing tricks on the scooters.
Ms. Harling wasn't quite as confident as the pupils!
