w/b 22nd February
We are starting our learning journey for fractions this week. Please follow the Year 3 lessons as this work is re-capping learning from last year.
w/b 8th February
This week we are going to be finishing off by subtracting lengths and start looking at perimeter. This is the distance around the outside of a 2D shape.
w/b 1st February
This week we are going to be looking at measures. We will start by making sure that we know how to measure accurately and talking about units of measure. We will then look at estimating lengths, measuring in cm and then adding lengths.
w/b 25th January
This week we are going to be focusing on dividing. We will start by looking at dividing by sharing and then dividing by grouping. Finally, we will look at using grouping and sharing to divide by 2, 5 and 10.
This week, we are going to be focusing on the 10x table at first and then move on to problem solving and making connections between the 2-, 5-, and 10x tables.
This week, we are going to be focusing on becoming fluent with the 5x tables. The lessons follow a similar format as last week which should help the children focus more on learning their times tables than the task. Some games and activities have been added to the main Year 3/4 Maths page to help support learning.
This week, we are going to be focusing on becoming fluent with the 2x tables. We are aiming to recall multiplication and division facts in and out of order and hopefully answer missing number questions
e.g. 2 x __ = 18.
