Handy Challenge
In order to support the children with developing their fine motor skills there will be a daily 'handy challenge' to try. These will be home made versions of the kinds of fine motor activities we do at school to help the children to develop the small muscles in their hands and, in time, get them ready for learning to write.
Today's Handy Challenge
Make your own set of phonics cards! Can you use your scissors to cut out 6 squares of paper? Remember to hold your scissors the correct way round and take a break if your hands get tired. Then, with an adult's help if you need it, write the following letters on each card:

You've given your fingers a work out and now you can use these in your phonics sessions for word building!
