During work to replace an area of flat roof today there was a significant rain/hail storm resulting in the ingress of water through to the ground floor in some places. Some water infiltrated the electricity supply resulting in a partial loss of power and it was therefore necessary to close the school in order to keep the children safe.
Reading Borough Council Property Services have sent an electrician to make the building safe and we are pleased that we are able to safely re-open the school tomorrow, Wednesday 20th May.
Thank you to parents for collecting children early today.
