Describing voice sounds

Below are some words we can use to describe different voice sounds.

Practise making the different voice sounds in the pictures at the bottom of the page and ask your child to pay careful attention and describe each sound using the words quiet, loud, long or short.

 

Now make up some new voice sounds of your own!

Can you make one that is loud, one that is quiet, one that is long and one that is short? Use the paper trumpet you made last week to explore!
