Nurture. Discover. Achieve.

Tuesday

For today's lesson, you are going to practise what you have learned about dividing 2-digit numbers by 1-digit. First, use dice or digit cards to create 2-digit numbers and divide these by a 1-digit number.

When you feel confident with this, you can choose between making a Top Tips poster on how to divide a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number or trying the question below. If you choose to make a poster, think about the different strategies you used to divide e.g. place value charts and part whole models and think about the steps you need to follow. If you answer the question below, how many possibilities can you find? Record this in your Maths book.

Hints/Key Info:

Solve the divisions that don't have splats first.

Remember to replace each splat with a different digit.

Solve these divisions too.

Fill in the comparison statements.

Try different digits for the splats.

To clarify, you only need to try question 2 in the picture above. You do not need to try question 1 but you can if you wish.
