After half term, our focus in Religious Education (RE) will be on Christianity and the celebration of Christmas.

We will be exploring the meaning behind this important festival by asking and discussing key questions such as:

• Why do symbols and stories play an important role in religion?

• What gift would I have given to Jesus if he had been born in Reading instead of Bethlehem? 

We will look closely at the Christmas story, exploring the characters, events, and key symbols such as the star, gifts and the nativity.
