Maths

During the Summer Term, the children will continue to develop their understanding of place value within 100. They will practise counting, comparing and ordering numbers and representing numbers in different ways.

The children will also begin to explore multiplication through practical activities such as grouping and making equal groups. They will be introduced to fractions by finding and recognising halves and quarters of shapes and quantities.

Later in the term, pupils will learn about money, including recognising coins and notes. They will also explore time, learning to tell the time to the hour and half past, and will develop their understanding of position and direction.
