This term, children will be exploring moving pictures in Design Technology. Pupils will begin by looking at and discussing existing products, thinking about how they are made and how the moving parts work. They will then explore a range of simple mechanisms, including sliders, levers and wheels and learn how these can be used to create movement. 

Using these skills, children will design and make their own moving picture, choosing appropriate techniques to bring their ideas to life. At the end of the unit, they will evaluate their finished product, reflecting on what worked well and what they might improve.
