This term, the PSHE topic will be: Who helps to keep us safe?

Pupils will explore the different people in the community who support and protect us, such as family members, teachers and emergency services. 

They will learn to recognise safe and unsafe situations and begin to understand how to make safe choices in everyday life.

Children will also discuss how to respond safely around adults they do not know and learn the importance of speaking to a trusted adult if something does not feel right. As part of this topic, they will be introduced to the emergency number 999, including when it is appropriate to use it and how to ask for help.
