  • Physical Education

In Year 2, our PE curriculum focuses on developing fundamental movement skills and positive sporting attitudes. Children will master basic movements such as running, jumping, throwing and catching, while also improving their balance, agility and coordination, and applying these skills across a range of activities. They will take part in team games, beginning to develop simple tactics for attacking and defending, and will perform dances using simple movement patterns to build rhythm and confidence. Alongside physical skills, we place great importance on personal development: children will learn resilience, understanding that we cannot always win and that participation is what truly matters. They will also practise sharing, taking turns and working as part of a team, strengthening their collaboration and communication skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
