Speech & Language Resource 2024-2025

Welcome to the Speech and Language Resource! 

My name is Sarah Phelps-Jones and I have been lucky enough to be the Teacher in Charge of the Speech and Language Resource at EP Collier since September 2023. Working with me to support our wonderful children with their learning is Mary Korah, who has many years of experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs. 

We work closely with our Speech & Language Therapist and Speech and Language Therapy Assistant who support the children with their personalised targets.  Our resource consists of up to 12 children with an EHCP who require specific support with their speech sounds or with their processing of language.

OUR LEARNING JOURNEY IN ENGLISH

In the Spring Term 2025, we learnt about plastic waste and what could happen to a piece of plastic after it has been used.  We made Plastic Pollution Posters to encourage people to reuse and recycle to help protect the environment, especially the oceans!
