Autumn Term
This term in art, we will be looking at photography and how it can be used a social record through time. Children will explore the artrwork of Gordon Parkes, in the context of civil rights and social history, in order to inspire their art pieces.
Spring Term
This term our topic is 'Still Life' inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe and Picasso. Children will use printing techniques to mimic these artists' work.
Summer Term
This term, we will be looking at light and be inspired by the artist Claude Monet.
· Explore the differences and similarities with the work of artists (Monet) with a focus on the use of light ( water lilies and Rouen Cathedral)
· Paint with different brush sizes and types for intended effect
· Create their own version of the waterlilies
· Develop ideas using different or mixed media in a sketchbook
