Summer Term

This term Year 1 will be using the following books as their stimulus for writing. They will be focusing on the following skills: 

  • Punctuating their sentences with capital letters, full stops, question marks and exclamation marks.
  • Spelling words that end in -ed and -ing where no change is needed.
  • Using 'and' to join words and ideas within their writing.
  • Spelling common exception words.
